1. Who we are

PureBinge is operated by Bunni Christ. For any privacy-related request, contact contact@purebinge.app.

2. Data we collect

PureBinge only processes data needed to operate the service, support users, and handle billing.

• Email address used for magic links and transactional emails.
• Session tokens and technical identifiers related to authentication.
• Mapped Crunchyroll account_id values for watch-state sync, but never your Crunchyroll credentials.
• Watch-state and episode-progress data when you enable those features.
• MyAnimeList metadata cache used to enrich catalog cards and speed up responses.
• Referral codes and attribution events.
• IP address and limited technical logs for rate limiting, security, and diagnostics.
• Payment and subscription information provided through Stripe.

PureBinge does not enable analytics by default, does not display advertising, and does not sell personal data.

3. How data is collected

• When you request a magic link or use the /account flow.
• When the extension reads data already available in your Crunchyroll session to compute badges, filters, and sync state.
• When you start checkout or manage billing through Stripe.
• When the service performs read-only requests to MyAnimeList for public metadata.

4. Why we process data

• Provide filtering, badges, and watch-progress synchronization.
• Create, maintain, and secure your PureBinge account.
• Process payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds.
• Run the referral program.
• Prevent abuse, protect infrastructure, and answer support requests.
• Meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

5. Hosting, storage, and retention

Account, session, watch-state, and referral data are stored in a self-hosted Supabase instance running on the developer's VPS in France, within the European Union. The public website and some related components are served from European Contabo infrastructure.

Active account data is kept for as long as your account or subscription is in use. Technical logs are retained for a limited period consistent with security and diagnostic needs. Billing records may be retained longer where required by law.

6. Third parties and processors

• Stripe: payments, subscriptions, billing portal, and refunds.
• Brevo: transactional email delivery, including magic links.
• MyAnimeList: read-only public metadata used to enrich catalog entries.

PureBinge is not affiliated with Crunchyroll or MyAnimeList.

7. Your GDPR rights

You may request access, export, correction, or deletion of your data. Account deletion can be triggered from the extension popup, through /account, or via the DELETE /me endpoint when exposed in your user flow. You may also contact contact@purebinge.app.

8. Cookies

PureBinge only uses first-party session cookies when required for authentication or account flows. No advertising cookies or analytics cookies are enabled by default.

9. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13.

10. Policy updates

This policy may change when the product, providers, or legal obligations change. The last updated date above is refreshed whenever a material revision is made.
